Also, we are happy to be working with Give Back Kick Back Travel to design trips of our own.    In February 2014 we will be going to Morocco to donate and plant fruit trees for low-income women farmers. Join us in air-conditioned 4x4s as we go from Casablanca to Fez to Marrakech, and points in beween. Shopping, dancing, listening to Sufi music, hiking, and much more.    In addition to our Morocco group trip, Give Back Kick Back Travel will customize trips that include a hands-on service project for groups of four or more to Africa. We helped a local school by donating and planting fruit trees and digging a water pipeline and water well for their school garden, then went to the extraordinary "Festival in the Desert" outside of Timbuktu. This trip far exceeded our expectations. It was gratifying and rewarding to see that others, like us, wanted to "give back" to the country they are visiting. Half The Sky Movement Turning Oppression Into Opportunity for Women Worldwide The central moral challenge of our time is reaching a tipping point. Just as slavery was the defining struggle of the 19th century and totalitarianism of the 20th, the fight to end the oppression of women and girls worldwide defines our current century. Hidden in the overlapping problems of sex trafficking and forced prostitution, gender-based violence, and maternal mortality is the single most vital opportunity of our time — and women are seizing it. They encouraged readers all over the world to do the same. Now, a landmark movement — inspired by Kristof and WuDunn’s work and also entitled Half the Sky — is working to amplify the book’s impact.
