Welcome to Women Worldwide

Connecting you with ways to help women and children around the world.

Women Worldwide is dedicated to connecting people around the world with opportunities to help women and children in need. We will help you find opportunities to get involved at whatever level you can.
  • Volunteer
  • Donate
  • Be an advocate
  • Buy from women in underdeveloped countries.
As our young organization grows, we're focusing on a few areas to begin with:  volunteer travel and providing you with links to other organizations that help women and children around the world.

to be working in partnership with
Give Back Kick Back - Travel with a purpose

One of the features of our website is to provide you with links to various volunteer travel organizations. Also, we are happy to be working with Give Back Kick Back Travel to design trips of our own. In February 2013 we will be going to Morocco to donate and plant fruit trees for low-income women farmers.

In addition to our Morocco group trip, Give Back Kick Back Travel will customize trips that include a hands-on service project for groups of four or more to Africa.

Read about our
January 2009 Mali experience. We helped a local school by donating and planting fruit trees and digging a water pipeline and water well for their school garden, then went to the extraordinary "Festival in the Desert" outside of Timbuktu. This trip far exceeded our expectations. It was gratifying and rewarding to see that others, like us, wanted to "give back" to the country they are visiting. Check out a sample itinerary for future trips to Mali and let Give Back Kick Back Travel know if you'd like them to customize a trip for you.

Email us if you'd like to be contacted about future Volunteer Tourism trips like this, or join the mailing list at Give Back Kick Back.

Somalia Famine Relief

More than 12 Million people in the Horn of Africa are in need of immediate food aid, including nearly half of Somalia's population. The U.S. has declared five famine zones in Somalia, including the camps for displaced people in Mogadishu, the capital.

Tens of thousands of children under the age of 5 have died in southern Somalia alone, according to U.S. estimates. The U.N. says 640,000 Somali children are acutely malnourished, suggesting the death toll of small children will rise.

Fortunately, there are many ways you can help.

"For All Women"

Oprah Winfrey's organization "For All Women" has identified many ways you can change a woman's life for as little as $5 or 5 minutes. The projects are sorted by:

  • Save a mom's life
  • Heal a rape victim
  • End modern day slavery
  • Give the gift of learning
  • Lend a microloan
  • Help without spending a dime

Learn how you can give a mid-wife or hygiene kit, provide training, ensure a safe home, give HIV testing, pay for legal services, give a woman a fresh start, and much more. All on one website.

Thanks Oprah!
